Feb 6, 2010

Bev assures me that she, at least, is reading this, so thank you, to the famous Bev Knight!

I've thought of a couple of things to add...one I wrote all about yesterday and then it was lost before I saved it, so today, I will be smarter.

Levi was allowed to take 'Christian the Cat' home from Sunday School for the week. Christian is a stuffed animal in a basket that comes with a journal to record your activities with him as you teach him about Jesus in your own home. Levi's recording went something like this: " I threw Christian the cat up in the air and I catched him. I love God and he loves God! I love how he likes me to have me throw him up in the air! I love how he likes to swing on my arms and I throw him backwards and he does a flip! I love how he likes to be 'sling-shotted' by me! I love how he likes to be thrown and other people catch him! (at this point, I prompted him and reminded him of his assignment) I taught him about Jesus by throwing him up in the air, like he's with God!" That, people, is pure evangalism at work! Beware of the Scott kids and their methods of reflecting the love of God!

  1. I'm famous??? Nice!!!

Nice work, Levi! I'm glad Christian the Cat likes being "slingshotted"!!

Becca got a Maplelea doll at a garage sale today, and was playing in her room for a while. When she came downstairs, she told me that she had been reading Bible stories to her new doll, who then had asked to have Jesus in her heart, so Becca had helped her pray. I love kids' brains!

  2. Dad and I just loved reading the latest Scott Blog. It is a great idea Janis and you do it so well. After being away these past few weeks it is great to hear about what is going on , how the grandkiddies are progressing. Things can change so fast even in a week with a growing family. We are truely blessed with a wonderful family living on West Saanich Rd. hanks from Nana and Papa

  3. Good for Levi adding a little spiritual wisdom at the end, I threw him up in the air, like he's with God! Classic. At least you know his entry will be the most original:0) And by the way I faithfully read your blog as well...

  4. After reading the latest edition of Scott kids' adventures I need to sit down and rest - am getting an idea of what "more fun than a barrel of monkeys" looks like! Love your blog, Janis - keep up the good work!

  5. OK, true confession time...I too read this blog! I'm not famous, like this Bev-person, but I'm comfortable with that.

You are such a great and descriptive writer, Janis! You somehow make your writing sound just the same as your speech. It is as if you and I ran into each other somewhere, like Tru-Value or something, picking up a few last minute supper fixin's, and I asked how life was for the Family Scott. So great!

Thanks for taking time out of your crazy busy schedule to share a few nuggets from the Scott family gold mine...

    Bill
